Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a website leaves in your browser. Here is what Project Name leaves, and why.

Cookies we set ourselves

One cookie holds your session so the site can tell one visitor from another across a few pages. Another holds a security token that stops someone else submitting a form in your name. Neither identifies you personally, and both disappear when you close the browser or shortly after.

Our own traffic counting works from the server logs rather than from a tracking cookie, so no extra cookie is set for it.

Cookies set by other people

Depending on how this site is configured, some of these may be running:

• Google Analytics — counts visits and works out which pages are read. Sets cookies beginning _ga.
• Google Tag Manager — loads the tags above. Sets nothing on its own.
• Meta pixel — measures whether Facebook and Instagram traffic goes on to read anything.
• Microsoft Clarity — records anonymous session replays showing where readers get stuck.
• Google reCAPTCHA — runs on the contact form to tell people from bots.

Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which you can read on the provider's own site.

Turning them off

Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking ours will break the contact form and the newsletter sign-up, because both rely on the security token. Blocking the third-party ones changes nothing about what you can read here.
